Objective:  I can write a summary of the main ideas about the US prior to the Civil War.

Agenda:
1.  Warm Up: Draw picture of the important events/main ideas that you read about for HW.
2.  Share out answers from HW (stamp HW)
3.  Lightening Notes for Packet 1 and 2
     a.  Write a group summary of Packet 1 and 2-like telephone.  Everyone contribute one sentence.
4.  Read Packet 3 and fill out lightening notes (individual)
5.  Raza Heritage Month fliers-share out a few

HW:  Read packet #4 and answer #2 (DUE FRIDAY)

What is freedom within the context of democracy? How do people’s positions in society shape their perceptions of what freedom is? Write a full paragraph with at least 5 complete sentences. Provide reasons for your answers.

2. Civil War review-
What do you know about the Civil War?

a. T2T-use a highlighter for main ideas and terms
b. Answer questions on pg 157-#1-3; pg. 173-#1-2
c. DUE THURSDAY

3. Pass back work and collect signed progress reports
